Depression Are you really depressed or are you suffering from low mood? Can you recognise a possible trigger for the feelings, have you recently experienced a negative life event such as bereavement, redundancy, relationship break up, could it be hormonal? How long have you been feeling like this and to what extent is it affecting your ability to function. If you are unable to recognise an external event as the cause then it may be something more deeply felt. For low mood something as simple as exercise, change of diet or lifestyle or supplements such as Omega 3 may be effective. For depression, therapy may be a better solution, or medication under medical supervision if the condition is serious and long lasting. |
